Center for Community Empowerment and Development (CECAD)
CECAD envisions a poverty free society that attains improved socio-economic status and environmental security on sustainable basis.
The Centre for Community Empowerment and Development (CECAD) is a non-profit making NGO based and operating in Malawi. The organization was established in June 2007.
The organization is legally registered with the government of Malawi under the Trustees Incorporation Act of 1962 and affiliated to National Youth Council of Malawi locally and Clean up the World LTD and the Campaign against Climate Change at the global level. CECAD has its main office in Lilongwe the Capital City of Malawi.

- Empower Malawian communities, particularly young people in the relief of poverty.
- Strengthen the capacity of Malawian communities in the sustainable management of climate change and the environment.
- Promote meaningful participation and inclusion of poor and excluded groups, particularly young people in decision making processes and programs that affect them
- Encourage and promote policies and legislations that ensures a just and enabling environment for the poor and excluded populations.
- Foster partnerships with various stakeholders on areas of commonality.
